'In an ironic twist we found ourselves calling up Alex from The Calling for a quick chat'.
If you were a road sign, what would you say?
Who's the nicest famous person you've ever met?
Alex: Carlos Santana is one of them, but Jon Bon Jovi is one of the nicest guys
If we gave you an aeroplane ticket to anywhere in the world - where would you go?
Alex: I'd go home! We miss it. Australia would be up there too. I've been wanting to come back, it's a beautiful country.
If you had a super human power, what would it be?
Alex: To know when people are lying.
One thing I can tell you about being in The Calling is?
Alex: We love what we do and we have a lot of fun
Have you ever been in a life-threatening situation?
Alex: Yeah! I've had a few. I got hit by a car on a motorcycle. That was bad, but luckilly I lived through that one.
Then I was in a helicopter that crashed into a volcano. Some big bird flew into the propeller.
If you could dare your band mates to do anything, what would it be?
Alex: They do everything I'd dare them to already!
What's one thing that pisses you off?
Alex: When I'm sleeping in a motel room and the cleaner knocks on the door at six am to see if it needs cleaning.
And you say no, and then they open the door.
Do you dance in public?
Alex: No, I'm way to wussy to dance in public. If I'm on stage playing my music then I can do my own special dance.
Favourite karaoke song?
Alex: When we were in Japan, we went to a karaoke and sang 'Hero' by Mariah Carey.
We sang it so horribly they actually kicked us out of the karaoke bar. It was fun
What's the best part about what you do?
Alex: The effect our music has on people. I hear from people who went through a really hard time or had to struggle in some way
and they say the music we're writing helped them through. That's one of the coolest things and travelling the world playing shows.
