On our way to the venue we spotted the band casually crossing the road in front of us, while Fiona (who I went to the concert with!) was driving, so that was really exciting :-) They were playing at the Prince of Wales and you have to be over 18 (I was 15) to get in, but the lady at BMG who I spoke to the day before the concert told me I could get in if I went with someone over 18 - but of course, she was wrong!
I went with Fiona and when we got there we just waited outside.. because they weren't opening the doors till 7.30 (we got there around 7).
So we were just standing around, and then I saw this guy that looked like Alex, so I asked Fee (Fiona) if it was him. So we followed him, and Fiona told me to call out his name lol, so I did, and he turned around! He was smoking hehhe... He was with a lady from BMG so we talked to them for about 5 minutes (this was after the doors opened). I got an autograph and a photo with him. I told him I wasn't allowed in and he asked the girl from BMG if he could sneak me in somehow =) (isn't that so nice of him? :)
She said probably not since we'd already talked to the manager (he gave me his business card and told me to call him next week and he's going to send me some CD's as like an apology since it was their fault)..but she asked Fiona for her mobile phone number and said she'd call us if I could get in.. she called back 20 minutes later but unfortunately we still couldn't get in.
Then I told Alex and the BMG lady what the BMG manager said.. about sending me CD's and stuff and yeh... Alex just looked at me and smiled, kind of laughed lol so did I. haha I don't know why =p
I asked Alex if he thought I'd be able to hear the concert from the street and he said probably not but he'd make sure that the volume was up extra high and all the windows were open for me =D I also told him that the fans at The Loft say Hi and he kind of laughed and looked at me strangly haha.
Then about 15 minutes later at the end of the street I thought I saw Nate, Billy and Sean so I ran up to them and dragged Fee lol and then I told them I wasn't going to be allowed up.. They were surprised and they didn't know it was an 18+ only.. so they said they were sorry and that they'd stick around afterwards so we could see them later. They couldn't stay for long and had to go back upstairs after a few minutes.
We waited downstairs and I told Fiona to go up without me since the security guard said I could stay with him.. so she went upstairs for a lot of it and I'm glad she got to go... hehe anyway I could hear the music from downstairs so that was really really good. They sound really really good live!! And I talked to the security guard.. he was pretty nice hehe. They played Unstoppable, Could It Be Any Harder, Thank You, Stigmatized, Final Answer, an unreleased song that I didn't know, I think they played Nothing's Changed (I can't remember), then they played Wherever You Will Go and Adrienne. =D
After it was over Fiona told me they were selling TC t-shirts so she went up again and bought one for me As she came back down she pulled about 8 TC promo posters off the walls - one for me, one for her and she gave some to the other fans. :)
Then later Nova (the radio station) told us that they told The Calling we were waiting downstairs for them, but we were waiting at the wrong exit! So we didn't get to meet them again.. though we did see their car leave and Alex (and maybe the others I couldn't see) waved goodbye to us!!
Okay and then a couple of days later I found out that Billy and Nate stayed behind so it was just Alex, Aaron and Sean leaving! Billy and Nate stayed behind especially for us (and the other couple of underage people) because Nova asked them and they did! Isn't that so sweet? Agghh why did we leave?! Oh well.. now I'm annoyed about that though lol. =x
It was a great night and the music was excellent (even though I was downstairs lol) but I wish that I could have actually see them perform!
